Dr. Charlotte Grezo
Charlotte worked in senior sustainability roles in major multinational companies for over 15 years and in total has over 25 years of experience. Throughout her career her focus has been on developing sustainability strategy, policies, performance, stakeholder engagement programmes and NGO partnerships. Her expertise is in devising responsible yet commercial approaches to business. She started her career as a consultant with ERM before moving to BP as an environmental adviser, ultimately becoming Director Global Environmental Issues, with responsibility for managing areas such as climate change and biodiversity globally. Charlotte then moved onto establish and lead the Corporate Responsibility function at Vodafone. This involved designing and delivering Vodafone’s approach to sustainability globally including incubating M-Pesa the highly successful mobile financial services platform and establishing the Vodafone Group Foundation. Her next role was as Managing Director and Global Head of Sustainability at Lehman Brothers where she established the firm’s approach to sustainability. More recently Charlotte was Group Director, Corporate Responsibility Strategy at Centrica where she was responsible for redesigning the company’s approach to sustainability working closely with the CEO, Executive Committee and Board members.
Charlotte has wide experience at Board and Executive Committee level and a global network of contacts in NGO’s, government organisations and multinational companies. She is a member of the BBC Sustainability Advisory Group, a Trustee of FFI (Fauna and Flora International) and BGCI (Botanic Gardens Conservation International), and a Fellow of WWF-UK.
